About Me

Hi! Welcome to my page!

I'm Kimberly and I'm a senior undergraduate at Arizona State University in the enviromental science degree program. My focus is in conservation and organismal biology.

My research areas have varied from entomology to herpetology. The first position I had was in the forestry entomology lab at Northern Arizona University where I assissted in exploring resin concentrations of various phenotypes of pinyons and its defensive mechanisms against fungal infections inoculated by bark beetle infestations.

I've also interned with the Arizona Game and Fish Department where I worked in the Non-game Terrestrial Wildlife Branch. I worked on projects in the invertebrates program mainly focusing on native and invasive snail populations.

Currently, I work in the herpetology lab at ASU where we hope to measure lizard biodiversity across the parks and preserves in Maricopa County.

After graduation, I hope to pursue a masters degree in wildlife biology that will help me prepare for a lifelong career in conservation.

In my personal life, I am a mom to an awesome kid. We enjoy hiking, kayaking, and eating lots of amazing food!
